The combination of Activision, Bungie, 72andSunny, RSA Films and Framestore have brought about a live-action trailer to celebrate the launch of the first-person action sequel Destiny 2, whilst showcasing the foundations laid down by the original game.
Destiny 2 is without any doubt one of the most anticipated games left in 2017, and that is an accolade in itself, given the amount of massive titles that we can expect to release between now and the end of the year. To get players even more excited for the game, a two-minute live-action spot entitled “New Legends Will Rise” has been put together, depicting the heroic Cayde-6 as he brings together three guardians in the fight to save Earth from the invasion of the Red Legion.
The video is set to the classic track ‘Sabotage’ by Beastie Boys, and is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who you may recognize as the director of the blockbuster movie Kong: Skull Island. Check it out in all its glory just below:
Destiny 2, the highly anticipated sequel in the popular first person shooter franchise, will launch worldwide on September 6th on Xbox One and PS4, and will release on PC the following month on October 24th, bringing the series to the platform for the first time.
