When it comes to the flexibility of video games, they often try and make several modes that have different goals and conditions, that way players feel a breath of fresh air as they go into it. After all, we don’t want to play the same thing over and over all the time, right? Well, that’s a problem that seems to be occurring a lot in Destiny 2. For many are complaining that the game modes are way too similar, especially when just about all of them are set to be 4v4.
This was brought on by Redditor atomicflu75, who really wasn’t happy about this. Not because it seemed like a bad idea per se, but because it makes it all too similar. In his words, it’s find if say the competitive side of Destiny 2’s game modes were 4v4, but to have the casual ones be the same? Not cool. He wants to be able to do even bigger matches, like they did in the original.
“4v4 is great in its own ways, but please don’t force me to play 4’s. It gets old quick”
Other Redditors weighed in on this, and a majority agreed with him and his ideas of separating the game modes. Some were even offering the suggestion of keeping the 4v4, but making the option of 6v6 available as well. A few though said they just want more diversity in the game modes, like bringing back Rift, or a freelancer mode, or even up the stakes and make a 10v10 mode!
Either way, it’s clear that players are still unsatisfied with what the game is offering at present, which has been a continuous thread since the game launched in September. This may be a new complaint (or at least one we haven’t reported before), but it surely won’t be the last at this rate.
