From basically the moment it launched, and even before then if you count the beta issues and flaws that stuck around in the main game, Destiny 2 has been ripe with fan complaints. Now, to be fair, this most definitely wasn’t “small potatoes” kinds of complaints, these were major ones that affected the quality of the game, and the satisfaction that it gave players. We’re talking things like loot drops, XP scaling, endgame content, replayability, etc. The problems and complaints have been mounting for some time now.
Now, Bungie has been working to fix these issues. And, as we reported yesterday, Bungie even listened to fans by changing how XP gets scaled for certain tasks. A step in the right direction for sure, but it looks as though thinks won’t be stopping with just that. For Game Director at Bungie Luke Smith went to Twitter and posted this:
Next week the Destiny 2 team will detail the systems side of the December update.
It includes: economy updates (vendors & acquiring their gear, tokens, legendary shards), investment updates (new reward systems for weapons & armor) gameplay updates, and more. (1/2)

That’s an incredible amount of change that’s coming in December, which is not very far away at all. And many of the complaints about the game have been around those issues. However, it’s not just them though, and Bungie seems to know that, for in another tweet, Smith said:
Additionally, @knowsworthy and I will also be answering some questions and addressing community feedback we’ve been reading since launch.
See you soon. (2/2)

The key words here may just be “since launch”, meaning that they aren’t putting blinders on to ensure they see what they want to see, but are looking at everything as a whole. The question is though, will it be enough? It’s honestly hard to say, because there is a lot that needs fixing. One step at a time though, right?
