The announcement of the first Destiny 2 DLC expansion was bound to affect the level cap. The reveal of Curse of Osiris will indeed do this, by raising the level cap in both player and power levels, which was unveiled by Bungie and Activision recently.
The Curse of Osiris DLC was announced during Sony’s Paris Games Week event, in which additional details were shared including players being able to reach level 25 with the new content, with the previous level being 20, whilst the power level has risen from 300 to 330. With the use of mods, players can currently reach level 305, so it would be fair to make the assumption that you will be able to reach level 335.
Meanwhile, a new female Ghost was also revealed. Named Sagira, she will be introduced alongside the DLC, and is voiced by Morena Baccarin, who you may recognize from her roles in Deadpool, Firefly and Gotham. What’s more, Brother Vance from the original game will be making a welcome return.
The Crucible map Wormhaven will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 4, and will arrive as part of the Curse of Osiris. This will also be released on both Xbox One and PC, though it won’t be until well into 2018.
Curse of Osiris will arrive in Destiny 2 on December 5th, and will be available as part of the season pass, or as a standalone purchase.
