Destiny 2: Bungie Talks About The “Go Fast” Update
Usually, when a developer notices that some part of their game is not balanced, they fix it. You have too powerful enemies, you make them weaker. Certain classes have abilities that are much stronger than other ones, you tone them down. Well, in the Go Fast Update – Developer Commentary that Bungie made in order to explain some of their thoughts about this new update, they decided on another way to even out the playing field in Destiny 2,
Certain weapons in Destiny 2 appeared to be out of place, as their power levels were too high, so naturally, one would assume that they would just nerf those weapons, right? Well, that isn’t exactly their plan with the “Go Fast” update. See, why would you nerf these guns when you could just up the power level of everything else in the game? Power ammo will be more accessible, ability cooldowns will get shorter, and some guns will have a much louder and more powerful bang. Also, as you can tell from the name of the update, the speed and intensity of matches are also getting turned up a notch, so expect to see a lot more hectic and chaotic matches from now on with players blitzing from one place to another while laying waste to any enemies that they encounter.
This is definitely an exciting update for Destiny 2, so be sure to jump straight into the game as soon as you can to experience these changes for yourself!
