Dead Or Alive 6 Delayed, Team Wants Time To Polish It
There are many things that can make a player sad when it comes to video games, but one of the biggest ones by far is hearing that a game you’re anticipating is getting delayed. Whether it’s for developmental, business, or other reasons, it’s never fun to have to wait longer for a video game. Sadly, that time has come once again, for Team Ninja has announced that their anticipated fighting game Dead Or Alive 6 is now being pushed back from its original release date.
This comes from Yohei Shimbori, who is the producer of the game. He made an official note, stating:
“The title’s development is already near complete; however, we would like to take more time to further polish its balance, gameplay, and expressivity. In return for your patience, we commit to bringing you the best Dead Or Alive gaming experience. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the release delay of Dead Or Alive 6.”
To be fair to them though, the delay actually isn’t too bad. Originally, the game was set to arrive in February, and now, it’s set to arrive on March 1st. So it’s a slight delay, but one that may be beneficial for various reasons.
For example, the game coming out in February would have been lost in the shuffle of all the other big name titles coming out around that period. Serious, there’s a lot. Then, there’s the fact that in recent years, there have been many amazing fighting games that have taken their time to make sure that they are good. Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle, Tekken 7, and more. Team Ninja doesn’t want to be negatively compared to them as not having a good fighting system like them, so, balancing might be a very good thing.
