Dead Cells: The Bad Seed is the game’s first paid DLC that’s coming after a ton of free updates and it’s bringing lots of new content.
Dead Cells got a lot of updates since the game launched. And all of them were free of charge. This Metroidvania will now receive its first piece of paid DLC called Dead Cells: The Bad Seed. It’s going to be much bigger than the free updates, and it’s bringing two new early game biomes that feature unique creatures and what the devs called a “conceptually unique armory” that’s going to help you push through these biomes. We’re also getting a new mushroom companion and the game’s very first double-slot weapon.
The Swamp and the Arboretum are alternatives to The Courtyard/Toxic Sewers and The Ramparts/Ossuary/Ancient Sewers. These biomes should give veteran players a new playground in the early stages of the game. The reason for a paid DLC is also completely justified. The game got a lot of free updates since it released. And game development isn’t free. Since Dead Cells is one of the best Metroidvania titles out there, I bet the players are happy to support the devs by buying paid DLC.
