One of the greatest mysteries in gaming of recent times is arguably the Mount Chilead mystery in Grand Theft Auto V. This is something that may have now been uncovered, thanks to datamining in the recent Gunrunning update for GTA Online.
Code within suggests that there is a UFO crash site near the military base, for which there is a mission to complete, found courtesy of the modding group Team Guru. Before you get excited, it isn’t the most gripping of missions to play. It simply entails players coming over to a crashed alien ship, in which the player acquires an alien egg and has to deal with some outer space creatures along the way, before delivering the egg to a bunker. Although it isn’t the most exciting of tasks, its worth keeping in mind that this is isn’t an official mission, so it might not be complete, if real at all in the eyes of Rockstar Games.
We’ve seen aliens make an appearance in Grand Theft Auto V before, including a story mission that sees Michael on what can only be described as a bad trip on drugs. Plus the collection of the missing alien ship pieces that are up for grabs, yet this is more based on the cryptic mural that can be found on the wall at the top of Mount Chilead, or that’s at least what many assume. Perhaps a completed version of the mission is something Rockstar will introduce in the future.
