Darksiders was one of many franchises that were thought to be lost because of the downfall of THQ and their subsidiaries, however, much like the world itself, it goes on, and now, the world is getting ready for the arrival of the third horsemen of the apocalypse, Fury, when she makes her debut in Darksiders 3, this time made by THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games. And as you’re about to see, this horseman really doesn’t hold back against her enemies. Like, at all.
If you’re unaware of the universe that Darksiders is in, it’s about a world that has fallen to ruin because of the literal apocalypse. Problem is, it came prematurely, and it was blamed on one of the Horsemen of the apocalypse, mainly War. The first game had you play as War as he tried to find out what the truth was behind the events. Then, in the sequel, you played as his brother, Death, as he tried to clear his brother’s name of his crimes, only to find out just how dark things were getting. And now, you’re going to play as War and Death’s sister, Fury. She has been tasked to take out the Seven Deadly Sins, no matter the cost, or the betrayal to brothers that she will be doing.
In the gameplay video above, you’ll see Fury taking on some lava brutes, and using her blood-red whip chain to epic effect. She will truly play different than War and Death did, which will make for some very interesting combat as the game goes on.
We also have no doubt that you’ll be able to enhance and gather new abilities for Fury, making her an even deadlier opponent as she seeks out the Seven Deadly Sins.
Darksiders 3 is set to hit next year for multiple systems.
