Dark Souls: Remastered Gets Network Test Dates For Xbox One and PS4

Dark Souls is a franchise that has pushed players to the limit in order to be completed, and it has sold millions of copies because of that challenge. But later this month, the first game in the franchise is going to be reborn as Dark Souls: Remastered. The game will not only be visually on par with modern games today, the title was originally released in 2011, but will also feature small tweaks to make the game even better, including a better internet connection, which is going to be tested soon.

With Dark Souls: Remastered coming to the Xbox One and PS4, developer From Software wants to make sure everything is lined up and ready to go for launch on the 22nd. As such, they’ll be holding network tests on the 11th and 12th, the times themselves will vary on your location across the world (some times for certain regions haven’t been announced yet). If you are interested in being in this test, you can actually download the client for the test right now. It’ll be 3GB, so be prepared for that.

For those wondering about the Nintendo Switch version of Dark Souls: Remastered, that version was delayed until the Summer, no real reason was given as to why. To that end, when the date is revealed, they’ll likely reveal the Network Test for it soon after. There is a chance that this delay was caused in part because of Nintendo Switch Online’s absence, but that’s unconfirmed.

Either way though, this upcoming Network Test for the Xbox One and PS4 will be a big help to ensure that the game is near perfect, at least connection wise, when it launches later this month. Tell us, will you be taking part in the Network Test? If so, for which console? Let us know in the comments below.
