The latest patch to arrive in Dark and Light focuses on game balance, something that has been a major concern for players in the game.
For starters, the strength of buildings has been increased, as well as the strength of particular spells to overall protect creatures and players more effectively, plus it makes battles and raids fairer. Maintenance for this patch will get underway on August 17th at 1am PDT, so make sure that you log out beforehand in order to preserve your character data.
In a lengthy set of patch notes, several changes have been made. Melee weapon damage reduction has been a key focus, with the amount of stone weapon damage made to thatch structures has been reduced, as has the damage made to them my iron weapons. The iron hammer will be able to keep its ability to perform additional damage to structures, though it won’t cause damage to iron reinforcements or castle structures anymore.
As for creature damage, this will to be reduced so that they will only be able to damage structures made of thatch and wood, so characters will feel safer living out in the wild, so feel free to get that cabin made that you’ve always wanted. What’s more, only powerful dark creatures can inflict damage to stone buildings, iron reinforcements and castles.
