Cyberpunk 2077 released patch 1.1 to squish a lot of bugs and bring stability to the game, instead a new game-breaking bug was discovered.
Another game-breaking bug
CDPR needs to take some time off to rest. It’s evident that all the Cyberpunk 2077 launch controversy brought an unhealthy amount of stress to everyone. Everyone is doing their best, but Cyberpunk 2077 got patch 1.1 released a few days ago. However, while it did fix some bugs, it also introduced a new game-breaking bug. Check out the comments on the Cyberpunk Update 1.1 – Patch Notes Reddit thread and look for Takemura mentions. One of the most upvoted comments is the following:
Just loaded the 1.1 patch and have experienced my first game breaking issue. When the game loads takemura calls immediately (i am guessing bc of the down on the street mission, in my game i am waiting on the second call) and does not say anything. I cant interact with anyone, fast travel, bring up call menu, etc. I tried skipping time and loading multiple saves. Still have the same issue. Anyone else experience this problem?
CDPR can’t catch a break
Yeah, this doesn’t look good. CDPR already postponed free DLC to fix their game and polish it up as much as possible. But, this patch isn’t a herald of good things to come. The best thing for them would be to take a long time off and just work on the game. No communication, nothing, just radio silence until they can deliver a version of the game that works as it should for everyone. Or Cyberpunk 2077 can receive another patch like patch 1.1 that breaks the game in new ways.
