Cyberpunk 2077 got a new game director as the previous one focuses more on his role as CD Projekt RED’s studio head.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a big Cyberpunk 2077 patch. The team obviously has a lot to do. But I’m guessing these changes in the leadership hierarchy aren’t really helpful in the grand scheme of things.
You see, the previous game director of Cyberpunk 2077 was Adam Badowski. However, he was also the studio head of CD Projekt RED. Two very important positions for just one man. I’m guessing it wasn’t easy being both. That’s where Gabriel Amatangelo comes into the picture as reported by Gamesindustry.biz.
Gabriel previously worked at BioWare. As a design director, Gabriel worked on two Dragon Age: Inquisition DLCs, those being Trespasser and Jaws of Hakkon. Other notable projects include working on Star Wars: The Old Republic and Rise of the Hutt Cartel and Galactic Starfighter expansions.
Can Gabriel as the Cyberpunk 2077 new game director be the change needed to finally help the game rise above all its issues? For now, all we can do is wait and see what the future holds for CDPR’s biggest launch.
