The retro platformer Cuphead finally landed on Xbox One last week, and looks to be doing very well for itself.
So far, it has been subject to a number of positive reviews, being praised for its potent blend of charm and difficulty. To add to this, the run-and-gun game has already shown some impressive statistics in sales on Xbox One and PC. In fact, the first three days saw Cuphead rise to fourth in the Steam Charts, which is impressive considered it usually covers a seven day period.
Sources state that in the first three days of release, Cuphead sold around 125,000 copies, before rising to 190,000 roughly a day later. So far, there is no figures for sales available as far as Xbox One sales are concerned. However, if the Steam sales figures are anything to go by, then there is certainly plenty of demand for Cuphead so far. This isn’t much of a surprise, given how long it was delayed for, but the game is certainly living up to expectations, and looks set to be one of the best exclusives we’ve seen in a while.
Cuphead, the 1930s style run-and-gun platformer, is now available on PS4 and Xbox One.
