Crusader Kings 2 is free for everyone, and if you sign up for the game’s newsletter, you can also get The Old Gods DLC for free aswell.
We already talked about how Crusader Kings II, the grand strategy from the people over at Paradox, became free. If anyone is familiar with this game, you also know that it has a lot of DLC. And I do mean a lot. It would cost a small fortune to buy all of it without any discounts. But, Paradox is nice enough to give us one DLC for free. The one in question is The Old Gods, one of the best ones that this grand strategy has to offer. As you can tell from the name, the religions in this DLC date way back. Back when you could capture the enemy leaders and offer them up to Odin at the great Blot. Human sacrifices were quite popular at that time.
Fiddling around with Christianity and Islam isn’t as exciting as being a Pagan chieftain or a Zoroastrian lord. This DLC also introduces a new earliest start, the year of 867 AD. The time when the Viking Rurik created his kingdom of Rus. This is also the period when the Great Heathen Army ransacked England under the command of the sons of Ragnar Lodbrok.
The Old Gods comes with a bunch of other things as well, and players think quite highly of this DLC.
Anyone that is looking to give Crusader Kings II a shot, make sure to get the rest of the DLCs as well. You can find all of them for a discounted price on HRK Game!
