Hunger is something that everyone needs to be afraid of. You know, your stomach can hurt a lot if you’re really hungry. But, we are here to talk about another kind of hunger today, and that is the one found in Crowfall. There are many floating islands found in this title, and all of them are connected by Runegates. But, these worlds are all slowly dying, all because of the dark and ravenous force known as the Hunger. What is it exactly? We don’t know, but we do know that it feeds on life and kills worlds.
The Hunger is an obscure and violent phenomenon, and no one knows exactly what its purpose is. We do know that it drains the life of a planet and ultimately destroys it. In Crowfall, players are able to battle the disease of the Hunger, but they can never get rid of it for good. It is always present, always there to suck the life out of everything. Now, the upcoming version of Crowfall will come with systems that change the world based on time passage, which includes a day/night cycle and dynamic lighting and triggered game events.
Now, you may be wondering, how do we fight the Hunger in Crowfall? Well, there are these big black crystals that appear to be living things that appear and absorb life from the ground beneath them. They also infect the nearby creatures making them more powerful and more vicious. Players will be able to destroy these crystals and get Hunger Shards from time to time.
