Vampire: The Masquerade — Coteries of New York got delayed because the devs need more time for polish and bugfixing.
A World of Darkness game that focuses on talking, not biting
For anyone wondering, yes, this game is set within the World of Darkness, a universe most notable for its Vampire: The Masquerade series. Don’t forget, we’re also getting a game about werewolves that’s also set in the World of Darkness. But, while the vampire and the werewolf games feature some action. Coteries of New York is more of a text adventure. An interactive narrative story about a grueling conflict between two vampiric factions. I’m expecting an exceptionally written single-player game with a lot of compelling and complex vampires and a lot of morally gray situations. That’s what the game promises to deliver. But, unfortunately, it won’t be delivering it when it was supposed to. The game is arriving a week late. Devs needed more a bit more time to polish the visual aspects of this title and squash some bugs
It’s only a slight delay
That’s alright. Coteries of New York being delayed for only a week isn’t so bad. If it’s to fix bugs and tidy everything up, then it’s justified. Since I do want my game about vampire turmoil and conflict to be playable without any nuisances. So we can all enter a world drenched in shadows as nightly stalkers, pick our special powers (called Disciplines that give you the ability to do all kinds of stuff in certain situations), interact with all kinds of unique Clans, and see how our choices shape the narrative of the game, all without any pesky distractions.
Even though Coteries of New York got delayed, it’s still coming on December 11th, which isn’t a long wait. A perfect title to keep you occupied until Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 gets released, which you can pre-order on HRK Game for a great price today!
