The upcoming release of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is being celebrated by Marvel Comics by printing special variant covers for the comics featuring characters from that particular game. Check out the link to PreviewsWorld to check out issues such as: Mighty Thor #22, Generations Unworthy Thor & Mighty Thor #1, Venom #153, Amazing Spider-Man #31, and Spider-Man #19.
Many of Marvel’s finest are set to feature in the game, though there will be a few included that do not feature in the game. For example, the Mighty Thor #22 cover will also feature Female Thor (aka Jane Foster) and there has been no word that she will be included in the roster. On this cover there’s also Firebrand from Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, who featured in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and could well make an appearance when it releases. Firebrand also features on the cover of Spider-Man/ Deadpool #20, along with Dormammu.
The Miles Morales’ iteration of Spider-Man is on the cover of Spider-Man #19, though its the Peter Parker version of the character that is featured in the game. We’ve seen many recognisable characters announced so far, with more to be announced when Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite releases later on this year, bringing the crossover beat-em-up to the stage.
