Cody Travers Gets Gameplay Trailer For Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition
Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition has done quite the job of improving upon Street Fighter V in nearly every way that matters. Including improving upon how many modes their are and other content that players can enjoy. That being said, it did keep the Season Pass, where new characters are introduced, and the next character that’s going to be in the game is none other than Cody Travers, who this go around is actually the mayor of Metro City, taking over for Mike Haggar.
Capcom has released a new video for Cody Travers, detailing a bit of his life, as well as his moveset within the game. And some of it includes some new moves that pay tribute to other characters.
For those who don’t know Cody Travers, he first appeared in the Final Fight series. He then crossed over to Capcom’s franchise in Street Fighter Alpha 3. Within the games’ story, he went to jail after not being able to adapt to the peace of the world.
As time went on, he went in and out of prison (sometimes voluntarily), until the events of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. Where mayor Mike Haggar actually cleared Cody of all of his past crimes. This allowed him to run for mayor, and he won. He now serves faithfully as the mayor of Metro City, but he still loves to fight.
In the game, Cody likes to use a lot of physical moves, but it’s his V-Triggers that really helps set him apart. His V-Trigger 2 gives him access to a knife, which he can use in a variety of ways. And his V-Trigger 1 gives him Mike Hagger’s lead pipe, which he can use to both bash in opponents and hit objects at them like a baseball player.
Cody comes to Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition later this year.
