Civilization is known as one of the greatest turn-based strategy franchises of all time. For in the game, you pick your civilization from one of Earth’s history, then start off with a single colony, and try to build it up into an empire. Throughout the franchise, the game has grown, and new features, new technologies, and new nations were put in. Civilization VI is about to get its first expansion via “Rise and Fall”, and with it comes nine new nations for people to try and rule with. One of them is one of the most fierce people ever, the Mongolians.
The Mongolians are led by the one and only Ghengis Khan, who is one of the most successful rulers in all of history. He was so dominant, that he build the one largest empires the world has ever known. As per each nation, Mongolia will have a special ability in and of itself. Mainly, when you establish a trading route will put a trading post in the city the route goes to. This will help boost your diplomatic visibility within the city. The more visibility you have, the stronger your units will be.
The special building the Mongolians have is an enhanced stable, and through this building, all cavalry units will receive extra movement in the field, making their range even more impressive. Which is saying something, as the cavalry are the nations special unit, and are perfect at fighting enemies from a distance.
As if that wasn’t enough, Ghengis Khan himself has an ability called Mongol Horde, where all cavalry units are stronger, and can even capture enemy calvary to bolster their own forces.
This new nation will no doubt be a powerhouse like their real-life counterpart, but only if you’re able to use them to their full potential. Civilization VI: Rise and Fall arrives February 28th.
