Civilization has been one of the greatest turn-based strategy franchise since basically its inception. Each game pushes players to choose a nation, and then, choose their path to victory. That victory could be via military dominance, scientific achievement, or a unified peace front. As the games have gone on, the experience has grown, the graphics have evolved, and the gameplay mechanics have advanced greatly. And now, with the latest title, Civilization VI, the game is set to grow even more via its Rise and Fall expansion.
Rise and Fall will bring new twists to the tale, including brand new nations for you to command. One of which has been further detailed in the nation of Georgia. And their ruler in the game, Queen Tamar.
Queen Tamar was so beloved by her people, and contributed so much to their growth, that she’s actually considered a saint. Her ability actually coincides with one of the biggest aspects of Rise and Fall, the Golden Ages. Tamar has an ability called “Strength In Unity”, which grants you even bigger bonuses when a Golden Age arrives. What this will do is allow your nation to main the Golden Ages for longer, which can be a big boon in your game.
Georgia as a nation has several unique units and buildings. One of which replaces the Renaissance Wall, and not only is cheaper to build, but provides Faith for your people.
Their special unit is a melee fighter that not only gets a bonus on a hilly terrain but also can ignore all penalties in regards to movement that the terrain usually puts on units.
Between its units and defenses, Georgia could just be one of the most versatile nations for you to become in Rise and Fall. Will you try them out when the expansion arrives on February 8th?
