Civilization VI Has Received Spring Update
The team behind Civilization have almost always done right by their fans, creating a rich and vibrant world-building game that allows them to pick a race of people and watch them grow from simple tribes to a world-dominating nation. Civilization VI has been praised for its place in the franchise, deliving a new engine, adding new gameplay mechanics, expanding the playable roster, and more. Earlier this year, the game got an expansion via Rise and Fall, and now, a Spring Update has been released for the PC.
There were a lot of new features added to this update, including the “Joint Wars” feature. Before, you could only fight wars 1-on-1 and hope that someone else would join the fight. Now, you can actually ask for others to join you in a war that is already taking place. They have to fulfill certain requirements to ensure that happens, but the notion is big on gameplay.
Other things you can expect are new Historical Moments, all of which adds to your “Era” score. There’s going to be more detailed graphs in the “Game Summary” screen as well. There are, of course, many balance changes and bug fixes that will help make the game better to play, from graphics to text to AI and more.
The team does warn you though that all mods you may have gotten for Civilization VI may actually hurt it in regards to the new update:
“For the best gameplay experience, we recommend disabling mods until they have been updated by the mod creators to be compatible with this latest update. Loading an old save or configuration that was created using mods will re-enable those mods. To our modding community, the below update may require you to update your mods.”
So if you haven’t played the game in a while, you’ll definitely want to check it out now.
