Civilization VI Details New Nation In Rise And Fall: India

Civilization VI was praised upon its launch in 2016. Many considered it one of the most complete games that Civilization, and Sid Meier, had ever created. The game featured not only a new graphics engine but a new focus on city building within the civilizations themselves. Add to that new features that improved upon what the game had done before, and it’s an experience many have enjoyed. In 2018, the experience continues in a big way via Rise and Fall. Which will bring new gameplay scenarios, as well as new nations to play as, and new takes on current ones. One of which is India.

In Rise and Fall, the most populated nation in the world is led by Chandragupta, who during his time actually unified much of what we know as India now, and created an empire that lasts to this day. Now, if you’re wondering where Gandhi is, don’t fret, he’s still there. Rise and Fall gives you the option to change leaders, and take different rewards, and use different tactics, depending on who they use.

For example, Gandhi has always been known for his peacemaking ways, but Chandragupta, he has a bit more aggressive an approach. After all, he had to unify India somehow, right? His special ability Dharma allows him to build certain units which can help you become a true military power. Speaking of which, he also has an ability that’ll let you declare a territory war, and get special bonuses for units in the opening moves of said war. This can help you expand, as well as catch other nations off guard.

With elephant units leading the way Chandragupta is one leader who might benefit your playstyle. And he’s just one of many leaders and nations who are coming to Civilization VI: Rise and Fall when it releases on February 8th.
