Check Out This Unique Setting For PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Tournament
Esports is an important part of gaming culture, for it’s where players can come together to not only show off their remarkable skills, but also, earn some cash for their time and efforts. The eSports movement has grown so big that even television networks like ESPN are showing them, and with new games coming out, the movement still grows. One such recent game is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which has been slowly but steadily making an eSports name for itself.
But, for those who play the game know, it’s a bit hard to do. After all, the game features 100 players going at it in one map trying to be the last person standing. To be fair, the tournaments often change the rules or the people count to make it more manageable, which is clever. But for some, you need to have the full experience. Such is the case in Busan, South Korea. Where they not only held a tournament for the game, but they housed all 100 players in one place. Check it out:

That’s right, you’re seeing double-decker areas filled with gamers getting ready for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. This tournament is full-on LAN, so to do it like this takes planning, and it appears to have paid off. To be fair, this isn’t the first time an event has done all 100 players in one building, as Gamescom did a recreation of a ruins setup for players to be in while they played. But, this invitational may have a more…low-cost and efficient way of doing things.
The fun will be seeing how these eSports tournaments for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds grow as the game grows. Remember, the game is not fully done, it’s still only a Steam Early Access game. But when it grows, this eSports movement grows, and that’s going to be fun to watch.
