If your day has been short of a laugh or two, then this might be of interest. Gfinity took the challenge of playing Rocket League blindfolded to four of the best Rocket League players out there from the Elite Series. The participants included Endpoint’s Russell ‘Florus’ Andrew and Otto ‘Metsanauris’ Kaipiainen of Method taking on Team Infused’s Ryan ‘Doomsee’ Graham and Sebastian ‘Sebadam’ Adamatzky. Whilst one player played, the teammate was tasked with providing the other with directions, so needless to say communication was vital. The first goal didn’t take long to come about from Team Infused, who had clearly practised their routine, as Sebadam cruised to a 3-0 victory over Florus in the first game.
To make matters even more difficult, rumble mode was then introduced, which gives random power-ups every 10 seconds to players. This would be used to Doomsee’s benefit, who used the grappling hook to score a fine goal. Team Infused’s teamwork prevailed at the end of the day, winning all three games over their opponents.
If you’d like to join in the action (not blindfolded) then get yourself a copy of Rocket League, which is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A release on Nintendo Switch is also coming in the holiday season.
