When it comes to cheaters, no one likes it when they lose to them. Forget “unfair advantage”, this is something more basic, more primal. It’s honestly about having decency and respecting the people you are playing video games with. And yet, people still continue to cheat. So, it’s up to developers to find creative ways to get rid of them or punish them. Well, the team at Bluehole seems to have done that, for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has gotten some very unique matches as of late.
This was revealed in a Reddit thread, where it was stated by multiple players that cheaters (some of them the ones who posted on the thread) were being matched up with other cheaters. So now, it’s cheater vs. cheater to see who has the best cheat. Needless to say, they aren’t happy. But they are cheaters, so do they really have the right to complain?
As noted above, this is a basic thing, players shouldn’t cheat, but they do. Bluehole has stated that they know about the large-scale cheating in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, and they’re working hard to fix it not just for the PC version, but the Xbox One version that’s coming in December. It’s going to be an uphill battle though, and not just for the basic reasons.
For you see, the team at Bluehole are working hard every day to fix numerous things in the game. From glitches, to bugs, to server capacity issues, and of course, making another version of the game. That’s a lot to deal with, and now throw in dealing with cheaters? It’s rough for sure.
No doubt that’s one of the reasons they came up with this cheater vs. cheater idea. It’s simpler, and it causes the cheaters to feel frustrated themselves for a while. Let’s hope a long while.
