Games disappear from Steam all the time. Sometimes the developers pull them away as they think that their game is not a finished product that’s ready for sale yet. Other times the game gets too much negative backlash so the developers just retreat. There are lots of reasons out there why games disappear from Steam, but now Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Call of Juarez: The Cartel have both disappeared. We don’t know why exactly, but these two games can no longer be found on Steam.
If you never heard about these games before, they are Old West shooters with quite an interesting style of storytelling. You won’t find too many shooters out there that actually have a decent story, as everyone that plays shooters today is interesting mostly in the multiplayer aspect. Well, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger had great mechanics, excellent and interesting gameplay, and a gripping story that really pulls you into the game’s world with well-written characters, thrilling twists, and quite an unusual way of storytelling. Unfortunately, not a lot of shooters today let you be a cowboy, which is quite a shame, as that period of time was quite exciting, and it was called the Wild West for a good reason.
The other game, Call of Juarez: The Cartel brings the laws of the Wild West to the present, which makes for an interesting mix.
Probably removed in response to all of the Socialist-Liberal-SJW anti-gun bull shit.
Mark my words… video games with guns in them are going to be facing a purge from Steam for no other reason than to please those scumbags.
…. seriously? That’s your reason? No other games have been removed and a lot of them are more violent than that… but you immediately blame “Socialist-Liberal-SJW anti-gun bull shit”?? Wow dude…
….. Yeah…. Totally the reason…
Sorry guys, I suck dick for bus fare then walk home.
It happens bro, just don’t bring gun control into it.
