Call Of Duty: WWII’s Next Event Is “The Resistance”
Call Of Duty: WWII brought the beloved shooting game back to its roots, and with great success. For not only was the game praised by fans and critics alike, the sales backed it up too. The game was not only the best-selling game of not only November and December, but of all of 2017. And Sledgehammer Games wants to keep the momentum going in a big way, as it continues to bring in new events for players to enjoy. The next one is set to arrive next week.
Dubbed “The Resistance”, it’ll feature new game modes, new weapons and gear to get, and even a new unit of soldier to have. For those who want the best weapons, the Event will allow you to get the Combat Knife, the Orso submachine gun, and Volkssturmegewehr assault rifle. As for the game modes, you can expect Demolition, as well as the Prop Hunt mode to appear.
As for the new class, it’s called “The Resistance”, much like the event name. This unit specializes in close quarters combat, and their skills and abilities are tailored to reflect that. Other things you can expect are Resistance-tailored Supply drops and 2x XP Playlists. you can get even more details via the trailer below:
If you can’t tell, this event is modeled after the real French resistance that happened in WWII. For after Germany occupied France, its people rose up to try and fight back. They didn’t have much to work with, so they used whatever they could to get the upper hand, thus, they were close quarters combat experts.
Interestingly enough, Call of Duty: WWII is going to have a DLC package coming in on the 30th that’s also called “The Resistance”, which will bring new maps for both the multiplayer mode and the zombie mode.
The Resistance event goes from January 23rd-February 27th.
