Another week has gone by, and it has been a relatively quiet week for the UK charts. The usual suspects take up the high spots, with Call of Duty: WWII taking top spot for the 10th time since it launched back in November.
Sales for the new CoD may be down 17% week-on-week, but it is still clearly going very strong. Should it reach the top spot for an 11th time, it means that it will equal the record for most number one’s held by the series, with the record previously held by 2015’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
There has been a decline in sales for a couple of other titles too. GTA V, which released over four years ago, managed to previously land a place at number one, but has slipped down to third after a decline of 53% in sales. Meanwhile, FIFA 18 ranks up to second place, despite a 27% decline in sales.
It’s been a good week for Nintendo titles, mind. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe climbs up to fourth, whilst The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ascends three places to fifth.
The top 10 in the UK charts are as follows:
- CALL OF DUTY: WWII ACTIVISION
- FIFA 18
- GRAND THEFT AUTO V
- MARIO KART 8 DELUXE
- THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: BREATH OF THE WILD
- PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS
- ASSASSIN’S CREED ORIGINS
- SUPER MARIO ODYSSEY
- STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT II
