Call of Duty Endowment Charities Revealed
It’s easy to think that video game developers and publishers only have one job, which is to make and sell video games. But the best ones also know how to look to the world and see if anything could benefit from its involvement. Cause and point, Activision set up a special charity fund called the Call of Duty Endowment to help support certain organizations all over the world. And now, a new set of them has=ve been selected to benefit from it, RFEA – The Forces Employment Charity, and Walking With The Wounded.
“Meaningful employment is the single most important way to ensure that service members successfully transition back to civilian life,” said Dan Goldenberg, executive director of the Endowment. “The Seal of Distinction recognizes RFEA – The Forces Employment Charity and Walking With The Wounded as go-to organizations for veterans seeking high-quality jobs, and models for veteran-serving organizations to emulate.”
Worthy charities indeed, and for those helping these soldiers find new jobs and get integrated back into a life without battles and war, we thank you. REFA alone has helped over 20,000 ex-soldiers find employment or use of their skills outside the military. And it’s their hope to help a lot more now.
“With the help of the Endowment we’ll be able to reach even more people who need our skills in finding meaningful employment for those who have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.” said the REFA CEO.
The head of Walk With The Wounded is also incredibly humbled by the selection from the fund. And hopes to help even more servicemen and women via it.
The Call of Duty Endowment program actually gains money through certain in-game packs and DLC. One of which is the Call of Duty: WWII Bravery Pack. So, if you’ve been curious to get that pack, you should know you’re helping brave men and women by doing so.
