Without a doubt, Destiny 2 has been very well received by both critics and fans alike. And rightly so, given that it managed to be the best-selling day one game on the PSN in history, as well as topping Japanese sales chart and having the biggest launch week this year by attracting over a million players for over a week.
However, there are players out there that have some complaints, one mainly citing the lack of grinding that is in the sequel compared to the previous game. Although it has only just been released, many players feel that there is a lack of stuff to do once completing the game, with their being a somewhat lacking of character progression overall.
This is something that was addressed possibly by Bungie, who have revealed that the game will be adopting Seasons, something that has featured in many other games across the industry. During a recent post by the game’s creators, which was prompted by the backlash from players after hearing that the likes of Prestige Raid and Iron Banner didn’t really offer any rewards for character progression, they hope seasons will give them reason to play:
“Destiny has established itself as a game of action-packed rituals and special events. With Destiny 2, the development team at Bungie has a goal is to keep the community of Guardians engaged from season to season with new reasons to play.”
