Borderlands 3 brings cross-play for all platforms but PlayStation thanks to Sony and their policy on cross-play games.
Borderlands 3 is the best Borderlands title in the franchise. But, that’s only when it comes to its gameplay. The characters and story are absolutely horrible when compared to the previous game. However, this is still one of the best looter shooters you can play right now.
The great news is that Borderlands 3 plans to introduce cross-play for all platforms but PlayStation. Why the hell is this the case? Well, I was as surprised as most of you. Because Randy announced this on Twitter and said the publisher asked to remove cross-play from PS consoles, so I had a meltdown and prepared to launch a verbal assault against 2K.
Yet, it seems the publisher isn’t at fault here. You see, Sony has a special policy on cross-play games on their platforms. You have to pay Sony a fee for them to allow cross-play on the PlayStation. For reference, Microsoft doesn’t ask for a fee or anything like that. No one asks for a fee but Sony.
What do you think, will Sony continue this behavior? Or will they come to their senses and stop punishing people for trying to bring the PS playerbase together with others?
