Bloodborne Developer Working On Two Secret Projects
In video game development, it’s nice to know that certain teams are good at making certain kinds of games. Whether it be through story games, action games, or something in between, when they’re good at it, we want them to make more games like that. From Software is a great and well respected team that is good at making games that challenge people. They made the Dark Souls trilogy, as well as Bloodborne, and they’ve had success with VR games too, and they’re still making other titles.
Next year, they plan to release Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Metal Wolf Chaos XD, but according to President Hidetaka Miyazaki, that’s not the only games they have in the works. For in an interview, he noted:
“While it isn’t the time to discuss details, they’re both [From Software]-esque games,” said Miyazaki in a recent interview with 4Gamer. “We’ll need a little more time, but we’ll be able to tell everyone more about them once they take shape.”
Of course, the obvious question that many fans have been asking is, “Will one of those titles be a Bloodborne sequel?” This notion has been spreading ever since an Easter Egg was found in their VR title recently, and was confirmed to be an object from that game. However, Miyazaki shot down that notion:
“I’m sorry for getting everyone’s hopes up, but we only put in those Easter eggs for fun,” he told the site. “Many people on Déraciné’s staff, and of course myself, really love Bloodborne, so we wanted to put references to it… But we went overboard. We’re reflecting on it.”
That’s going to be a buzzkill for gamers who really wanted a sequel. But, at least now they know the truth, it wasn’t meant to be a tease, just a reference. But that does bring up the question, “What are they working on?”
