Ever since Doomfist made his way onto the Overwatch roster, he was been plagued by a number of problems. The majority of these issues lie in the competitive side of things, and regardless of his exciting techniques of taking out his opponents, he in fact has one of the lowest pick rates out of any of the modes in the Blizzard shooter.
There is a number of things that are putting players off from choosing Doomfist. For example, his shortcomings revolve around struggling to close the gap on his opponents, since many players have managed to figure out how to counter him. There have also been several bugs that have hindered Doomfist, particularly with problems with his hotbox. Given his massive dip in popularity, it’s surely about time for Blizzard to step in and resolve the issue.
And this is exactly what Blizzard appear to be doing. They recently revealed via the official forums that Doomfist will indeed be getting some changes. For example, wall slamming logic is going to be improved for starters, as well as cutting back on the issues surrounding his hitbox. His abilities, including seismic slam and rocket punch, have both had their problems, with both the former and the latter having three bugs between them, based on glitches and damage not being correctly applied.
Overwatch is now available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
