As the gaming market welcomes more and more co-op based multiplayer experiences, there are a growing number of websites known as ‘looking for group’ aka LFG. This is something that Blizzard are tapping into, by adding Overwatch LFG to the official forums.
In a nutshell, an LFG platform is somewhere in which players are able to look for other players in which you can advertise certain games or goals that suit you, and in the instance of Overwatch, the LFG lets players search for certain groups of players and classes that are most suited to the goal looking to be achieved.
Since it was added, the majority of posts on the Overwatch LFG has surrounded players looking to rank up in competitive, as well as those looking for healers and DPS heroes. If you want to look elsewhere, there are also a number of unofficial LFG sites based on the popular Blizzard shooter, though using the official forums will assumingly offer the smoother experience than the alternative. And before you worry about toxicity, there is a number of rules and guidelines in place to ensure a friendly environment is preserved.
Overwatch is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
