Bless Online’s Steam Version Bringing Lots Of New Features

Even though there’s been a lot of hype surrounding the upcoming MMORPG, Bless Online, the game had quite a bit of problems in Korea and Russia. Now, in order to avoid making the same mistakes again with the Steam launch, the developers of the game reworked a lot of the game’s mechanics, and even added some new ones.

It’s a good thing that Neowiz knows what they did wrong with Bless Online in Korea and Russia, and now they want to avoid the same mistakes that made their game unpopular with MMORPG players. The most obvious changes are the ones being made to the combat mechanics, which should make fighting a lot more dynamic and interesting, and to the in-game cash shop, which will be much less pay2win than before. The developers described their new “rhythmic combat” system which should improve battles in the game like this:

Players need to pick two stance skills out of six, as well as four general skills that will go well with their class. Using these skills in combos during combat will lead to extra effects (1. Select a stance, 2. Use your starting skill 3. Use a skill combo).

Essentially, this means that players that are able to chain their skills and pull off their combos will do a lot more damage when they are fighting, which makes for a pretty rewarding and fun combat system.

Now, as far as the in-game shop changes go, they are aiming for a more user-friendly system. Bless Online will have a token shop where players use content tokens, which are earned by playing the game, to buy functional items. The Lumena shop is where you use a special in-game currency which is bought with real money to purchase cosmetic items. There will also a place where players get to exchange their content tokens for Lumena.

A lot more changes are coming with the Steam version, and you can read about them on the game’s official post.
