Blazblue Cross Tag Battle Gets Details On Game Modes
From the moment that Blazblue Cross Tag Battle was announced, we knew that this was going to be something rather unique. If for no other reason than the game feature four very different universes coming together in a fighting game. For here, we have Blazblue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth, and RWBY. Based on the gameplay videos we’ve seen so far, we know that the action is going to be fun and intense, but the question has been asked about what else we’ll be able to do in game.
Meaning, what are the game modes? Well, we now have that answer. First off, we will indeed have a story mode, one that will fuse the universes together in an interesting way, and have all battles and meetings between these characters happen on the “Phantom Field”. Given how crazy crossover stories can be, you can expect something pretty unique when it arrives.
“But what about other modes?” you ask? Well, there’s also going to be a “Tactics Mode”, which will apparently increase your knowledge of the game somehow. But don’t confuse this with the “Training Mode” as that’s something entirely different, and something that’ll be in Blazblue Cross Tag Battle.
For those who want to test their abilities to the fullest, there will be a Survival Mode, where you’ll face opponent after opponent until you lose. Best of luck to you. Finally, you will be able to watch replays of your matches to see what they were like, and there will be a special Gallery Mode that’ll let you view art, illustrations, cutscenes, and more.
Blazblue Cross Tag Battle will feature a massive 40-person roster, however, only 20 of the characters are available at launch. The rest will come via DLC. Some of it will be free DLC though. The game arrives on June 5th.
