BioWare Lists Which Anthem Bugs Will Get Squashed
The Anthem VIP demo showed us an open-world shooter with a lot of potential, and a lot of bugs that BioWare is aware off.
The Anthem VIP demo started off, well, with some problems to say the least. Immediately after logging into the game, certain players were met with some server issues, which were then fixed in the following 24 hours. But, that wasn’t the only concern, as many players encountered a lot of other in-game bugs which hindered the overall experience of the game.
Anthem is a rather spectacular game, but it’s far from polished, and BioWare is aware of certain things (bugs and glitches) and they are working on fixing them soon as possible.
There’s a public demo coming, and it’s starting on February 1st. That’s almost here, but there are quite a few bugs that BioWare said they were going to fix, including:
- Entitlement bugs
- Server performance updates to address much of the rubber-banding
- Fixes for infinite loads and more being investigated
- Platform bugs to validate Javelin unlocks
- Client and platform login bugs
There are also many other things that are being fixed for the final version of the game that’s coming on February 22nd, which won’t be included in the upcoming free demo for some reason. These include:
- Weapons with 0% infusions
- Weapons with bonus that applies to different Javelins
- Plot integrity / party gather issues
- Changes to Javelin unlock behavior
- Fixes for losing XP at end of some expeditions
- Performance Improvements
- Additional stability fixes
- A Social Hub: The Launch Bay
- And a few thousand more (literally)…
Most of the people that played the Anthem VIP demo are concerned that there are holes in this game that can’t be fixed in a jiffy. Many problems await, and everyone is hoping BioWare gets to fix them on time, before this co-op shooter fully launches.
In their blog, they mentioned that the VIP demo had over 9 million hours of play. Were you one of the people that were playing? If you did, what are your thoughts on the game? Will it be finished in time, or will bugs be the death of BioWare’s latest product?
