Biomutant shows off more action-RPG insanity in its PC gameplay footage where the player takes down a gang together with its boss.
One thing I immediately noticed in this new Biomutant PC gameplay is the fluidity of the movement. You’re playing an animal that can run on all four, so it has to feel smooth. And it does, at least judging from this video.
The combat is as wacky as one might expect. Our hero in the video wields a sword, shoots a gun, and air juggles enemies in the air. Feels a bit like Devil May Cry in a way. Combat is full of flashy effects, colorful text pop-ups, and fast attacks.
But, that’s not all. There’s a special mode the player enters after fulfilling some requirement like killing enough enemies or dealing enough damage. It’s the activation of your Super Wung-Fu, and then you’re prompted with a window on the left side of the screen which shows how to perform certain super moves. Anything ranging from a powerful ground slam to a barrage of bullets fired in slow motion.
There’s also a mini-boss fight, but it wasn’t all that special. Biomutant also has a charming narrator and insanely big HUD elements. Hopefully, we can turn them off and enjoy the game’s stunning mutated world. See the gameplay footage for yourself down below:
