Battlefield Bad Company 3 Not Coming Next Year
In the age of the internet, there is one certainty, that nothing is certain or true unless it’s heard from the official source, and even then it’s not certain. For video games, leaks and rumors happen all the time, and while some are true, and are surprisingly true at times, others aren’t. And yet, people will latch onto them as fact until an official source proves them wrong on many levels. One rumor that has persisted this week is the “reveal” that EA was going to release Battlefield Bad Company 3 next year.
This rumor was birthed by Youtuber AlmightyDaq (“leak” video below), who for the record has a good history of revealing accurate information. Including some leaks on the previous Battlefield game. Anyway, he laid out a lot of information on what he believed was going to be Battlefield Bad Company 3, and even went so far as to say it would be coming out in 2018. But, then people started looking into that, and interesting facts started to emerge.
First, there were talks about Battlefield Bad Company 3, and that’s all they are right now, talks. It’s not confirmed, nor is it coming in 2018. And as if to prove this, AlmightyDaq released another video saying that the game could be coming via DICE LA, but it won’t be the game coming out for next year.
Now, people are anxious to see what EA and DICE make from their popular franchise, especially given the success of Battlefield 1. Something that AlmightyDaq heard that might be true is that the other DICE team, DICE Sweden, is working on another game, and it’s set in WWII, which would make sense as the recent Call of Duty game went back to World War II.
All this goes to prove ladies and gentlemen that you can’t believe everything you see on the internet.
