Battlefield 5: What Is The Airborne Mode?
When Battlefield 5 got revealed the responses were mixed, and by mixed, we mean pretty bad. The World War 2 setting which was shown in the announcement trailer looked kind of wacky, and there were certain things that do not belong in such a timeline, like robot arms for example. Battlefield players like realism, and the upcoming game looks like it is lacking in that department. Anyway, in a recent tweet, we found out that the shooter is going to have something called the Airborne mode, which gives one team the advantage of dropping anywhere they want to, which is definitely an interesting idea, but one that will be hard to balance.
This is an attack-and-defend game mode where one team protects their artillery, while the other team gets to drop down from the sky and their objective is to destroy this very same artillery. Quite an interesting concept, but how will it work in Battlefield 5? We don’t yet know all the details, but we think that the balancing of this mode won’t be easy, as having the option of landing anywhere you want in such a mode could be too big of an advantage.
Let’s just wait until we get more information about this mode, as there could be a way to make the playground even for both teams, but it will most likely be a tricky problem to solve.
