Battlefield 1: The Rupture Map Is Now Free
Free stuff people, we repeat, Battlefield 1 is giving away free stuff. But, if you’re a Battlefield 1 player you probably already own the expansion that gives you access to the Rupture map, but in case you don’t, it is now free for everyone! EA wants to make certain maps from their expansions available to all players, and they are starting with Rupture. This map is a part of their “They Shall Not Pass” expansion, the first one for EA’s WWI shooter.
But, they aren’t stopping with just one map, they plan to add even more of them in May, which is a great move by EA. Some players may not be able to afford to spend a lot of money on expansions when even the base game is quite expensive, so giving everyone the ability to play on all maps is quite wonderful. Battlefield 1 is also getting a brand new 40-player attack-and-defend mode called Shock Operations. This mode will be playable on the following maps: Lupow Pass, River Somme, Prise de Tahure, Giant’s Shadow, and Zeebrugge.
Free content is always welcome, and since it seems like EA really wants to make most of their game available to all of their players, not just the ones that bought the expansions, and that will probably help the player base get larger. You can read more about this and their plans for future updates on their official Battlefield 1 site.
