The release date for the Battlefield 1 expansion ‘In the Name of the Tsar’ has now been revealed, and is set for release on September 19th. If you can’t wait that long, then the Premium Pass will give you access to it two weeks early on September 5th. In what publisher EA is calling the “most extensive expansion yet,” players will be immersed in plentiful new content, with six new maps and a new mode coming to the popular shooter based around the events of the first World War.
Premium Pass owners already have access to one of the maps with Lupkow Pass. Other maps included are Albion, Galicia, Brusilov Keep, Volga River and Tsaritsyn. So if you haven’t picked up the Premium Pass yet, it might be worth doing so.
A new mode will take players to the Eastern Front, with the introduction of Supply Drop. This will see teams competing against each other to gather airdrops and provide them with more firepower. The expansion also brings new Operations, including the Brusilov Offensive, plus more service medals, dog tags and service stars set to be added.
The latest entry in the critically acclaimed FPS franchise, Battlefield 1, is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
