Assassin’s Creed Origins was meant to be a true “rebirth” of sorts for the long-standing franchise. The series was once very prominent, with fresh new gameplay mechanics, and a story that messed with history both past and future. Yet, it grew complacent, the story got convoluted, and gamers fell out of it. So, Ubisoft took its time, and made Origins the best it could be, and their hard work paid off. Now, Ubisoft is listening to their fans once again, and adding something that players have been asking for for a while.
On Reddit, a fan asked on the Assassin’s Creed forums about a Game Plus Mode for the title. The post got some general feedback from fans, and then, got a response from Community Manager Dominik Voigt. Who stated:
“New Game + is coming. We’ll have more information to share soon.”
Now that’s a reveal that many can get behind, am I right?
Now, more players asked details of Voigt, but he didn’t give any. So, we honestly don’t know when the mode will arrive, or what to fully expect from it. Typically, Game Plus Mode allows you to keep everything you’ve gotten from the previous run-through, but crank up the difficulty so that it won’t make you overpowered. Sometimes it even helps flesh out the story mode, just depend on the developer.
Regardless of when it comes out, this is just scratch the surface of what Ubisoft is bringing to Assassin’s Creed Origins. There’s going to be much more DLC, and some of it is either already here, or coming soon. The first DLC, The Hidden Ones, adds more story to the game with the arrival of the Roman Empire and a new section of the world to explore. There’s going to be a “Discovery Tour” coming in February, and even more DLC coming in March.
