The best surprises are the ones you never see coming. So early in the year, when Square Enix revealed a special collaboration with Ubisoft to bring some Assassin’s Creed content to Final Fantasy XV…we are all surprised. Especially when the content that was brought was surprisingly deep. For it didn’t just bring skins and cool like Easter Eggs, it brought a full-on story quest for Noctis and team to partake in, as well as a new way to play in the game. Well, now, it’s Assassin’s Creed Origins turn to get some Final Fantasy action.
A brand new update has brought some key Final Fantasy items and rides into Assassin’s Creed Origins, and there’s also a brand new quest for you to partake in called Gift From The Gods. If you complete this quest, you’ll get a pair of weapons pulled straight from Final Fantasy. Including the shield Ziedrich, and the Ultima Blade.
Still not enough for you? Well, there’s always the new mount…the Kweh…
Yep, your eyes don’t deceive you, that’s the Assassin’s Creed Origins version of a Chocobo. It’s very interesting looking, huh?
But, if you’re looking for even more to do in the game after you’re done with the Final Fantasy content, there is a new challenge awaiting you. For in the game, Ubisoft gives you the chance to fight against the gods of Egypt via the “Trial Of The Gods” challenge. However, these events are timed, and random in their appearance. Well, Ubisoft is getting away with the second part, and giving you the chance to fight Anubis, Sobek, and Sekhmet this week. You’ll have until the 26th to try and beat them all.
Make no mistake, the gods are by far one of the biggest challenges in the game, but, if you and your fellow players beat the gods enough times, you will be getting a special reward.
