Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Mercenary Events Temporarily Moved
Ubisoft has been doing a great job recently of bringing back their Assassin’s Creed franchise to prominence. One of the big ways they did this with both Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins is that they’ve used events and DLC to their fullest potential. Thus giving players new things to do during the weeks that they play it. However, something has gone wrong with Odyssey, and the Epic Mercenaries event has been taken down as a result. But how did this happen?
Well, the Ubisoft team went to Reddit to reveal that while the Epic Mercenaries event was indeed launched, it didn’t actually show up for everyone, which is a bit of a problem.
Two weeks ago, when we attempted to launch the first Epic Mercenary Event with Damais the Indifferent, we discovered that the content didn’t properly appear for a majority of our players. It wasn’t satisfactory to have an event available to only a portion of our players, so we decided to temporarily remove the Epic Mercenary Events from the game altogether until the issue is resolved. We are working on a fix and are hoping to introduce them later this month. We will provide an updated ETA as soon as possible.
A bad glitch indeed, albeit, one that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey fans should be happy got realized and thus moved. Now, if you’re sad because the event was removed, don’t worry, Ubisoft has you covered. For in its place (and possibly recommended by a fan), they’re going to bring in more Epic Ship battles:
In the meantime, we will activate 1x Epic Ship Event each week moving forward. And as a thank you for your patience and understanding, we will be activating a discount of -80 Orichalcum for the Legendary item that Sargon (Oikos of the Olympians) will sell next week.
So there you have it, the game is down one event, but picking back up in another.
