Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Gets New Details Via Reddit
Though leaked ahead of time, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is going to be the next major game in the Assassin’s Creed lineup. Set after the events of Origins, the game will take you to ancient Greece, where you will be a Spartan warrior who must fight to keep the world from falling apart. The game is set to expand what Origins did, but in new and exciting ways. And during a Reddit AMA with Ubisoft, some new details were given for the game.
For example, in terms of the scale and diversity of the world, there’s going to be a lot to explore:
“Oh, Yeah. For sure (night time looks awesome, btw). We have 7 times of biomes and many subregions will give a different vibe and feel.”
So it’s clear that Odyssey will maintain the massive open world, but this time, with Greece in mind and its diverse landscapes, which should be very enticing to players.
Another thing that will be a focus in Odyssey is puzzle solving. This was a major part of the Assassin’s Creed franchise back in the day, but it was slowly weeded out. It appears that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be trying to go back to the classic games in substance as well as style.
Here are some other details that was revealed during the AMA. You can tame numerous kinds of animals. There will continue to be a modern-day story, and you cannot avoid it. What’s more, certain events in the Greece storyline will bring you more modern day content. There will be romances in the game, and you’ll actually be able to romance multiple characters, or choose not to do so at any point in time.
Content-wise, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be bigger than Origins, and it will have a bigger map, however, part of that is sea.
The game drops October 2nd.
