The virtual reality spin off for Ark: Survival Evolved, ARK Park, has been delayed. This was confirmed by developer Snail Games this week, with the title supposed to arrive by Christmas on PlayStation VR.
However, in a recent announcement on Twitter, the studio revealed: : “ARK Park is still in development and will be postponed to spring 2018. We are truly sorry for any disappointment this delay might cause. ARK Park is coming. We just need a bit more time. At the meantime, we will keep you updated on the progress!”
With bad news comes good, as Snail Games then later confirmed that not only would ARK Park be coming to PlayStation VR, but will also release simultaneously on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift too. This could have been the explanation for the game’s delay, though it hasn’t been confirmed by the developer as to why the release has been pushed back.
ARK Park is a more education-focused experience compared to Survival Evolved, in which you can interact and learn more about the dinosaurs, as opposed to figuring out how you can live among them. It will certainly be an interesting practice once it does release, though we will now have to wait a few more months to do so.
