We are all very familiar with the Warhammer 40, 000 universes. You know, those games where you have Space Marines, strange aliens, orks, and demons? Well, even though the titles set in that time period are all quite exciting and terrific, we want more of old Warhammer. By old, we mean games like Total War: Warhammer, and Warhammer: Vermintide, where we get to see how the Earth looked like back in the day of the Warhammer universe. Looks like Warhammer: Chaosbane is going to give us just that, as it is set in the Old World where the humans, dwarfs, wood elfs, and high elfs fight the terrible Chaos corruption that is swallowing the world. The best thing is that it is going to be an action RPG, and it will look something like Diablo and other similar games of this genre.
This is the first time that we are getting a Diablo-style action-RPG Warhammer game, and if that doesn’t excite you, then we don’t know what will. Judging from the PCGamesN article, we will have four races to pick from, and we can expect iconic environments in the game. For example, players will be able to see the wonderful former capital of Nuln, or if you want more engaging places, you will be given the opportunity to fight Chaos filth in Praag.
Action RPGs aren’t really popular today as most of the games in this genre feel like slight variations of one another, so let’s hope that Warhammer: Chaosbane ends up being something special, and of course, fun.
