Anthem Is Having Some Server Issues
The VIP demo for Anthem is well under way, but it seems that there are some issues with the servers at the moment.
BioWare’s open-world co-op shooter that features mechs and stunning explosions is having some trouble. The VIP demo started today, but it seems that the number of players that logged in clogged the servers. We don’t know how that happened as the only people that can play the VIP demo of Anthem are the ones that pre-ordered the game, and ones that have Origin and EA Access. VIP players also got three invites for their friends, but the devs should have known the exact number of players anyway.
This is certainly a bad start for the game, although the VIP demo only started. Some players report that they’re able to get into the game just fine, while others are seeing the: “We’re sorry, but the EA servers reached max capacity. Please try again later.” message.
Are you one of the VIP players that are trying to get into the game? If so, are you getting this message or can you jump straight into the action? We hope that EA and BioWare extend the demo if these problems continue, as it wouldn’t be fair to the players that couldn’t play right away, while some could.
Since they should have known how many players would log in at these times, we don’t think this should have happened. What are your thoughts on the matter? Let us know in the comments section down below!
